Other than having been held in Red River, we have little information about NMMS' first two Forays. Long-time NMMS member and contributer Steve Trudell explained that Eagle Nest 1987 was the first foray in the sense of the typical weekend event with mycologists &c, as far as he knows. Steve added that although he did not attend the club's Forays for 1985 & 1986, he suspects those events were "more informal things."
