March Meeting
Our meeting on March 6th will be at 7:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) of
the Natural History Museum.
(Enter the front Museum doors which are on the east side of the main building
(the side facing 18th St). Once inside the first set of doors, turn immediately
left [south] into the MPR.)
The program will be a NAMA slide presentation: Michael Beug's
"Introduction
to the Major Groups of Mushrooms."
Nancy Smith Weber joins us in April
Mycologist Nancy Smith Weber will be speaking at our April 3rd Meeting. She
also hopes to get out in the field during her visit here. It should be a good
chance to learn a bit about Spring mushrooms.
Taylor Lockwood Returns
Photographer
Taylor Lockwood is planning another tour for 2001. He plans to
visit Albuquerque on September 4th. If our plans work out, we will
host Lockwood's presentation in lieu of our September meeting.
Article about Mycorrhizae: "Afforestation of treeless areas"
Ruth Bronson called my attention to this article on the Web:

Dues
There are still a few members who have not submitted their dues for 2001. Those
who still owe can pay at the March Meeting or send a check, payable to
NMMS, to
Sharon Chong,
6336 Mendius NE, ABQ 87109-4126.
The amount of the check should be either
$52 to cover both NMMS and NAMA memberships or
$20 to cover only NMMS membership.
Annual Foray
We are still looking into the details of this year's Foray. Nothing is definite
at this time, but we hope to have something planned soon.
