Southern Interior Mycological Society  (British Columbia)

This description dates back to January of 2003. SIMS has not been affiliated with NAMA in several years, and a search in December 2024 showed no evidence that SIMS is still active. Below is the original text of the club's webpage, edited from present to past tense.

Rod Pooley & Carmen Stanek, having moved to the Okanagan area of British Columbia, determined to get together with other Mycology enthusiasts in the vicinity. The result of their dedication was the Southern Interior Mycological Society (SIMS). The organization boasted some 45 enthusiastic members who enjoyed some several successful forays. Soon after its formation, SIMS members chose to enjoy the additional benefits offered by affiliating their club with the North American Mycological Association.
