This page contains GPS coördinates for meeting places and foray sites.
  • I prefer to use UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator) coördinates, but for some locations I have included conventional Latitude / Longitude as well.

  • I have borrowed the Los Alamos area location code(s) from the Jarmie, Rogers, Balice research studies.
    Formats:
  • UTM = zone,easting,northing,elev in metres
  • Lat/Long = +lat-long+elev in ft/
    Datum:
    Unless otherwise noted, coördinates refer to the NAD83 / WGS84 datum. (Note, however, that many NM & CO USGS maps still use NAD27.)
    Sandia Grid:
    Sandia location labels refer to a grid based on lat/long (nad27).
