Hike/Field Trip
 East side of Sandias near Doc Long's
Saturday, 7 May 2005
  • Meet at Doc Long's Parking Lot at 08:00.
  • Plan to be back at vehicles by 14:00.
  • Tentative route will be from Doc Long's along Tejano Canyon to Faulty Trail to Oso Corredor Trail toward Tree Spring.
  • Expect about 8km/5mi of hiking with an elevation variance of 300m/1000ft.
  • Most travel will be on trail, but there will be some bushwhacking.
  • Stream in Tejano Canyon is probably still running strong, so expect wet feet.
  • $3 Fee or Parking Permit is required for many areas in the Sandias (including Doc Long's).
